The October Master Plan

We're back in action! After working the entire month of September with only two days off, Carl returned to Some Puppet To Watch Over Me the day after his film project ended. Sure, I feel a little bad about scheduling a shoot that day, but hey, I wanna get this thing DONE!

My desire to get this thing done prompted me to cook up the October Master Plan, a shooting schedule that would have all the movie’s key scenes finished by the end of the month, leaving just a few smaller scenes and pickup shots for November.

Carl’s first day back was an important one indeed: it was our second and final day with Alisen McAdams, who plays the little girl that Pudding and Jammies are supposed to be looking after.

We pre-lit the sets in the morning and started shooting as soon as Alisen and Aunt Michelle arrived. But the novelty soon wore off for our young star.

With only ONE SHOT to go, she decided she wanted to go home, and there was no changing her mind.

So she left.

Carl Besasie and Dan Ramsey (notice how the number of crew people gets smaller and smaller?) shared my frustration at the situation.
But the show must go on, so Carl, Dan, Karen and I continued, with shots in which Alisen does not appear.
The next day, Uncle Dan brought Alisen back to the set, along with sister Emilee, and we got what we needed (I think they really just came back to play on the computer!).

Callie's scenes were in the can. We were back on schedule.

Check out more master planning.
