ALL ABOUT MERRILL

Who is Merrill? Good question. How much can you find out about someone from nothing but occasional glimpses of her in the house next door? Plenty.

Merrill lives next door to the house where Pudding and Jammies are babysitting. She generally minds her own business, keeping her suburban home in order and finding time to exercise and pursue hobbies. She is, for the most part, oblivious to the child care debacle that is developing next door.

Merrill is a fun character. I didn't write much detail about her into the script, hoping that putting an actress into the role would bring out a distinct personality. When I wrote the script last November, I didn't have anyone in particular in mind. Then, I started picturing someone specific in the role. The idea grew on me, until I could picture no one else.
