Please Hold

From previous Production Updates, you know that we have been steadily chugging along, finishing shot after complicated shot of Some Puppet To Watch Over Me.

Until now.

When my Director of Photography, Carl Besasie, told me about the opportunity he had on an independent film shooting in Milwaukee, I couldn’t help but be happy for him (instead of just being a grip as originally planned, he was being asked to light about half the movie).

When Carl told me that working on that project was going to take up the entire month of September, I couldn’t help but be a little disappointed.

All the momentum we had built up seemed in danger of slipping away.

But never fear, we were able to make good use of our time “off” in September. For one thing, Karen and I rediscovered what it’s like to have a life: we went hiking, saw a few movies, and threw our Alaska Party (where we showed photos and video from our recent vacation).

Here, I take a rare opportunity to... just... float.

During this slow(er) period, I also reviewed the footage so far, prepared for Carl’s return, and even got some shots in the can.

See for yourself.
