WHO ARE PUDDING AND JAMMIES?

Pudding, a koala puppet, and Jammies, a dog puppet, were created in 1992 for Ken Schellin's final University of Iowa video project, appropriately titled Pudding and Jammies. Pudding and Jammies have not appeared onscreen since then, sticking to Ken's holiday cards and rare personal appearances. In 1999, Ken decided to make another movie featuring these chraracters, taking advantage of the ample production resources in Milwaukee. The result is Some Puppet To Watch Over Me.

THE PLOT

It is a Saturday evening, and Mom and Dad are scurrying around the house getting ready to leave. The doorbell rings, Mom rushes to the front door, opens it and sees... Pudding (a koala puppet) and Jammies (a dog puppet). In a flurry, the parents rush off, and the puppet babysitters are alone, with young Callie sleeping safely upstairs

But this domestic calm is short-lived. A mysterious stranger calls claiming to have kidnapped Callie, so Pudding checks upstairs- sure enough, she's gone! They search for her without luck, and matters are made worse when the stranger reveals in another phone call that he is inside the house! In a race against time, Pudding and Jammies set out to rescue their young charge. Before the evening is through, Pudding will have been catapulted onto the neighbor's roof, while Jammies will venture into the basement... alone... to face the stranger.

We can't say how it will all turn out, but we can assure you that viewers of Some Puppet To Watch Over Me will enjoy a humorous and suspenseful half hour... and come away with some worthwhile tips on how NOT to care for a child!
