Meet a few members of our crew- more profiles will be added soon!
Ken Schellin directed Some Puppet To Watch Over Me and is the Principal Puppeteer (not to mention the voice) of Jammies. When he's not playing with puppets, Ken works as a videographer and editor in Milwaukee. But somehow, puppets keep cropping up: he and his team built and operated the puppets in The Big Change, a children's video currently running in the Milwaukee Public Museum's new Butterfly Wing. Ken also puppeteered one of his creations, Feedback the Cat, at Milwaukee's Rainbow Summer festival.
Carl Besasie is our Director of Photography. Although he and Ken go way back (they graduated from Brookfield Central High School together), this is the first time Carl has shot a movie for Ken. Carl has tons of experience working on movies that have shot in the Milwaukee area, including Milwaukee, Minnesota (starring Randy Quaid and Bruce Dern), Still Life, Wisconsin Deathtrip, Go To Hell, Expecting Mercy, Striken and Sleepwalker.
Karen Gill is our resident Jill-of-all-trades: besides playing the role of Merrill in the movie, she created costumes, gathered props, and even cooked food for the crew. She must have known what she was getting into, since she also attended Brookfield Central with Ken and Carl, way back when.
Don Unverrich is a Mechanical Effects Supervisor on Some Puppet To Watch Over Me, meaning that he helped make arms flail, feet scurry and puppets fly (with the greatest of ease... or so it appears on screen). His feature credits include Milwaukee, Minnesota, Wisconsin Deathtrip and Go To Hell.
Dan Ramsey, our other Mechanical Effects Supervisor, wasn't satisfied with just that task- he also puppeteered in numerous scenes. He played the same double role in the Milwaukee Public Museum's The Big Change, performing a hungry bird and various beetles. While waiting for the next puppet gig, Dan works as a Producer/Editor in Milwaukee.
There are a lot more talented people where these folks came from... stay tuned!
